BACKGROUND

CRS is a leading manufacturer of electronic and manual crimping tools, gas filters, ferrules, and injection port septa. In business for 25 years, their products are used in analytical laboratories and various other industries worldwide

BRIEF

CRS had attempted an upgrade to Magento 1.9 to Magento 2.2, but had to revert due to several issues that their agency couldn’t resolve. Recommended by Adobe, CRS approached atmosol for our renowned technical abilities

GOALS

Since Magento 2.3 had been released, upgrade from 1.9 to 2.3, including a tax exemption customizations

CHALLENGE

CRS had a codebase that wasn’t well maintained or tracked and core Magento files had been changed making the migration technically difficult

STRUCTURE THE CODE

The first step was to identify modifications to Magento core code and set up proper version control to identify and isolate changes

UPGRADED AND UPDATED STORE

Once stabilized on the current version, atmosol upgraded to the new version, performed user experience improvements and created a solution that correctly modified the customers’ tax class inside Magento tax calculation process

Our Magento rep had suggested atmosol and after discussing our issues in-depth with the atmosol team we were very impressed with their level of expertise and the ability to have an open conversation directly with our developers, as well as their project management system that allowed better communication with them throughout the project. The real difference was how the job was handled. If critical issues came up atmosol was on it. If we had an issue come up it wasn’t an issue for long. We had direct communication with our team and they responded in a timely matter time and time again.
